Riley Cooper is a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and overall movement-lover based out of Metro Atlanta.
She is classically trained in ballet and uses her technique as a foundation for exploration through modern, contemporary, jazz, tap, and liturgical dance. For biography, choreography inquiries and class offerings, please see below.

Riley Cooper was born and raised in Lawrenceville, GA and is trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary dance. As she progressed as an advanced student, Riley was joined the Northeast Atlanta Ballet Company, where she performed many principal and soloist roles in full length Ballets such as The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and others. Her favorite roles include Dew Drop and Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, The Empress in Kristy Nilsson’s The Emperor and the Nightingale, and Anemone, Daughter of the Sea Witch in The Little Mermaid. She has also consistently been featured in contemporary work due to her natural passion and aptitude.
Riley was invited by the Nashville Ballet to join their Professional Training Division after attending their Summer Program, and joined following her high school graduation.
Over her cumulative course of training, Ms. Cooper has been invested in over the years by teachers such as Paul Vasterling (Artistic Director, Nashville Ballet), Stacey Calvert (New York City Ballet), Kathryn Crews-Linsley (Academy Principal; Ballet West), Nick Mulikin (Associate Artistic Director, Nashville Ballet), Nicole Koenig (Certified in Ballet Teaching Studies - Royal Academy of Dance in London) , Tracey Julias (Oregon Ballet Theatre; Joffrey Ballet) and many others. Her summer study includes USCSDC, Atlanta Ballet, Nashville Ballet.
Riley fell in love with contemporary movement after receiving scholarship to the Alonzo King’s LINES Contemporary Ballet Pre-Professional summer division and Discovery Project, where she was trained by Alonzo King (Artistic Director, LINES Ballet), and coached in LINES repertoire by Carmen Rozestraten and David Harvey as well as other masters of contemporary dance. Ms. Cooper also enjoyed studying GYROTONIC and GYROKENISIS during her time in San Francisco.
Riley currently dances, hosts masterclasses, and choreographs professionally in metro Atlanta and surrounding areas. Some performing and choreography credits include Bluebird Uncaged’s Uncaged Christmas, DanceATHENS, Fulton County’s Dance In The Round, and more. Ms Cooper also performs with Praise in Motion, a company based out of Lilburn, GA.
When not in the studio, you can find her enjoying coffee with friends, practicing yoga, or studying for her Exercise Science Major and Business Administration Minor at Georgia Gwinnett College, where she serves on the Board of Executives for the Student Dance Association.
